Was exchanging with a friend, and she asked if C was a fun relationship or a serious one.
Both!
I finally see that so many potential dating experiences in the past ended abruptly because one or both parties were trying to define the experience.
For the first time, I am willing to take it one day at a time and let the relationship progress.
I am still having fun, so I am trying not to inject all the seriousness that comes with commitment. Just letting it be.

J3 is still around (via email communications) despite all my efforts to rebuff him. In the latest exchange, we talked about not having expectations. I disagreed with him, believing that expectations are good to have. You can't act too fast in a relationship but things have to move along, or what is the point? Ultimately, I conclude that we're both right, and that there has to be a fine balance between letting things be and come naturaly, and keeping the goal in mind.
